This Privacy Policy describes how Budget Organizer ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Data Collection

Budget Organizer does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with third parties. All financial data you enter (expenses, incomes, budgets, categories) is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database.

2. Optional PostgreSQL Backup

The App offers an optional feature to back up your data to a PostgreSQL database of your own choosing. If you use this feature:

• You supply the database credentials (host, port, username, password).
• Credentials are stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences.
• Data is sent only to the server you configured — we have no access to it.
• You are responsible for the security of your own database server.

3. Local Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it unless you explicitly trigger a backup:

• Budget amount
• Expense and income entries (description, amount, date, category)
• Categories and subcategories
• App settings and preferences
• Optional database connection settings (if backup is configured)

4. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

• Storage / Files – to export/import data (CSV, Excel, PDF) and to read backup files.
• Notifications – to send local reminders (if enabled). No notification data leaves your device.
• Internet – used only when you initiate a PostgreSQL backup/restore to your own server.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No third-party SDKs that collect data are included.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
